Description
In the Sylhet region, this fish is called 'Veda fish'. In pure Bengali, it is called 'Mani mach'. In some areas, the fish is also called 'Nandai' or 'Rayna'. At one time it was seen a lot in different haors and rivers of our country. However, at present, they are rarely seen. This fish is very tasty to eat. Their maximum length is about 18 cm.
