The scientific name of the Bele or Baila fish is Glossogobius giuris and the English name is Tank goby. The body colour of this elongated fish is slightly yellowish or yellow-grey. They are about 30 cm in size or may be up. These fish live in rivers, canals, beels, haors and baors in various types of freshwater ponds and in slightly saline waters. Bele fish contains 69.7% water, 0.6% fat, 15.5% carbs and a significant amount of other nutrients which are able to meet every necessary need of our body. This fish is very tasty to eat.
