How to use Pulse Oximeter?

1. Hands should be sanitized before and after using the pulse oximeter.
2. Since the pulse oximeter is powered by a battery, it is important to make sure that the device has a battery.
3. The finger of the hand on which the oximeter is to be placed must be clean. Especially if there is nail polish on the fingernails of women, it should be removed.
4. A full rest period of at least 5 minutes is required before using the pulse oximeter.
5. The device should be started by pressing one end of the instrument on the head of the index or middle finger of the hand and inserting the other end.
6. The hand that holds the oximeter must be kept perfectly still.
7. Note that at first the results of the oximeter may fluctuate abnormally, so waiting for about a minute will fix it again.
8. Once the result is normal, note the result that the oximeter will give in 5 seconds.
9. Remember that the normal level of the oximeter is 95 to 100 percent. If the oxygen level is below 94 percent, you need to see a doctor immediately.
Caution
Be sure to complete the test step by step as per the usage rules above, then the correct result will not be displayed. If you test according to the above rules, you will see the correct results. In this case the result of the oximeter may be 2% less or more.
