The device that is the first essential item of all of us in hot weather is just the opposite of it in winter and becomes neglected. You're right, I'm talking about your room cooler or air conditioner. Without which it has become difficult to survive even for a moment in hot weather. The main reason for this is that the temperature in Bangladesh has started rising unbearably in the last few years. This year, the Meteorological Office recorded the highest temperature in the country at 41.2 degrees Celsius in 2021. The hot season is almost over and now it feels very cold last night. So the need for AC in our room was almost gone for a while. We need this device only in summer so many people take care of AC only in summer. However, this is not true. Even if the AC is off in winter, the AC should not be neglected in any way. This is because even if the AC is off in winter, it is less likely to be damaged, but in no part less than in hot weather. So we must take proper care of AC even in winter. Here are some tips to help you buy a new AC. And in winter the price of AC in Bangladesh is comparatively less so if you have budget you can buy AC.

The potential damage to AC in winter is: -

• As the AC is off for a long time, there is a possibility that the  AC will run out of gas.
• There is a possibility of jamming due to dirt sticking inside the compressor.
• Since there is a lot of dust in winter weather, there is a possibility of AC damage due to that dust.
• Prolonged shutdown can cause noise in the AC electrical connection.
• If the AC is very old or low quality, there is a possibility of rusting of the AC outdoors.

AC care in winter: -

• Clean the AC air filter and wrap it in plastic before closing for a long time.
• Outdoor units need to be kept clean.
• Clean if there is dirt or weeds around the unit outside the AC.
• Open the net inside the AC and keep the dirt clean and take care not to accumulate excess dust.
• Many parts of the AC can be problematic due to continuous shutdown for a long time, so you must check the AC well before restarting the AC at the end of winter.
• Regularly check electrical connections, sockets, filters.
• If the AC wire melts or any part of the wire turns black, show it to the technician.
• Before re-starting AC in summer, you have to have a skilled technician do the servicing.
• The AC outdoor machine must be kept in a clean place so that there is adequate ventilation. Also keep away from excess dust.
